Don’t Cha Wish Your PowerPoint Was Hot Like Me?

How sad. The great presentation coach Dr. Nick Morgan stooping to PowerPoint-bashing to generate a few cheap retweets with this nonsense parody of John Lennon’s song, now titled “Imagine There’s No PowerPoint“.

Well, writing song parodies is a hobby of mine. Here’s my rejoinder.

Don’t Cha Wish Your PowerPoint Was Hot Like Me?

Sung to the Tune of Don’t Cha (Pussy Cat Dolls)

I know you want me (uh-huh)
To focus on you (uh-huh)
That’s why you agreed to speak
In the first place
You know it’s true

And you think just a speaker (uh-huh)
Makes your presentation complete (uh-huh)
But this audience also has visual learners
So a few slides would be sweet

Don’t you wish your voice
Was all that I need
Don’t you wish visuals
Was unnecessary
Don’t cha?
Don’t cha?

But I can’t remember
All five things you just said
Now you’ve moved onto a different topic
I can’t hold it all in my head

And now you’re telling a story
Of some explosive device
But I’ve never used one or seen one
So a picture slide here would be nice

Don’t you wish your voice
Was all that I need
Don’t you wish visuals
Was unnecessary
Don’t cha?
Don’t cha?

<general flailing about of hips, shoulders and backsides>

 Don’t Cha!
