Why do these 9 words work? They tug at emotions by highlighting the gap between a goal (see the beautiful day) and the current situation (I can’t see it) through the “eyes” of the hero – the classic elements of storytelling.

This video reminded me of the Heath brothers’ book Made to Stick in which they set out to show why some messages have that sticky factor that makes them so effective and this definitely encompasses their six identified categories: Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, Credible, Emotional and Stories.
